Why Exapta

Exapta Solutions (https://www.exapta.com/) was founded in 1998 to bring better tools and techniques to no-till farming. Our team combines farmer insight, agronomic principles, and engineering precision to solve field problems that other manufacturers often overlook.

We serve farmers, equipment dealers, distributors, manufacturers, and industry partners who expect useful answers, honest recommendations, and practical solutions. This role is for a salesperson who wants to represent products with a real purpose and earn without a commission cap.

The Opportunity

This is a consultative field sales role, not an order taking position. You will develop an assigned territory by combining purposeful prospecting, company provided opportunities, existing relationships, referrals, trade shows, equipment demonstrations, and on farm inspections.

You will speak the language of farmers and agricultural equipment. That means asking good questions, recognizing planter and drill performance issues, and translating technical observations into clear recommendations that improve the customer’s operation.

What You Will Own

  • Grow revenue and market presence across an assigned territory that may include portions of Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, and Texas.

  • Build relationships with farmers, growers, equipment dealers, distributors, manufacturers, and industry partners.

  • Create new opportunities through phone, email, text, social channels, referrals, field visits, dealer relationships, and industry events.

  • Respond quickly to inbound inquiries and convert qualified interest into inspections, demonstrations, recommendations, quotes, and sales.

  • Conduct on farm equipment inspections and product demonstrations, and confidently explain how Exapta solutions fit the customer’s equipment and goals.

  • Develop new accounts while retaining and expanding existing customer relationships.

  • Own follow up from first conversation through close, and coordinate clean order and service hand offs with the internal team.

  • Maintain accurate account, opportunity, activity, and forecast information in the company CRM.

  • Represent Exapta at trade shows, farm meetings, educational events, dealer visits, and other field activities.

  • Share market feedback, customer needs, and competitive insights with sales leadership, product, service, and operations.

What Success Looks Like in the First 12 Months

  • You establish a disciplined territory plan and a healthy, visible pipeline.

  • You grow revenue, win new accounts, and expand repeat business within existing relationships.

  • You build credibility with farmers, dealers, distributors, and industry partners across your market.

  • You consistently turn inspections, demonstrations, event conversations, referrals, and qualified leads into sales opportunities.

  • You balance new business development with timely follow up and reliable customer service.

  • You use the CRM consistently and provide forecasts that leadership can trust.

  • You meet the approved revenue, account, conversion, retention, and activity targets once those measures are finalized.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Agricultural background is required.

  • Working knowledge of planters, drills, seeding systems, wear parts, or related agricultural equipment.

  • A record of developing a territory, creating new business, and closing consultative sales.

  • Strong listening, communication, presentation, and relationship building skills.

  • Comfort with outbound prospecting and the discipline to follow up without waiting for leads.

  • Ability to plan and work independently while collaborating with a close knit team.

  • Experience maintaining accurate CRM and pipeline information.

  • A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to travel seasonally, including overnight travel.

  • Residence within the assigned territory. Final territory assignments will be based on company needs and candidate location.
