Job Summary:
This role is responsible for ensuring product quality and maintaining accurate inventory levels within the manufacturing environment. The position performs quality control testing, inspections, and audits while also managing inventory processes including cycle counts, discrepancy resolution, and system updates. The role involves daily collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet required specifications and inventory accuracy is maintained. Standard hours vary by location and shift with occasional overtime as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Quality Control Responsibilities:
- Inspect materials, products, and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Perform quality assurance tests and visual inspections of raw materials, intermediary products, and finished goods.
- Use measuring devices and testing equipment to verify product specifications.
- Enter test results and maintain documentation.
- Communicate quality issues with engineering, shipping, scheduling, and production teams.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Support process improvements and scrap reduction efforts.
 Inventory Control Responsibilities:
- Conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Enter and verify inventory transactions in systems such as SAP.
- Monitor inventory processes and ensure compliance with procedures.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Track inventory accuracy and identify improvement opportunities.
- Perform audits including month-end and year-end counts.
- Support inventory flow systems such as Kanban.
Quality & Environmental Management System Expectations
- Employees are expected to understand their role within the Quality and Environmental Management Systems, follow documented procedures, maintain required records, participate in continuous improvement activities, and support compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements. Employees may be required to participate in internal or external audits and complete periodic training to maintain competency.
ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand and follow the requirements of the Quality and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 9001 and ISO 14001) applicable to the role.
- Demonstrate knowledge of assigned processes, work instructions, and controlled documentation.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with document control requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits by explaining assigned processes and providing requested documentation.
- Support corrective actions, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and report quality, safety, and environmental concerns or opportunities for improvement.
- Complete required training to maintain competency.
- Support The Carlisle Way by promoting quality, environmental responsibility, safety, and customer focus in daily work.
Additional Responsibilities – Internal Auditors (if applicable)
- Conduct and document internal audits in accordance with the ISO audit program.
- Communicate audit findings and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Maintain internal auditor qualifications through ongoing training and travel to support audits (approximately 25% travel).

Education and Experience:
- Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 6 Months to 1 Year of related experience required.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing and office environment.
- Exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
Additional Information:
This position typically operates during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate meetings across time zones or address critical business needs. The employee is expected to comply with all company policies, including those related to data security, confidentiality, acceptable use of technology, and remote work standards.
