Your Impact As a Parts Clerk, you play a vital role in supporting customer service operations by ensuring the right parts are available at the right time. Your attention to detail, inventory accuracy, and commitment to customer service help minimize downtime, improve operational efficiency, and support exceptional service delivery. By maintaining organized inventory and coordinating the flow of parts and materials, you directly contribute to customer satisfaction and the overall success of the business. What You’ll Do Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts, materials, and shipments for accuracy and quality. Accurately stock and organize inventory within designated warehouse and parts room locations. Process customer and technician parts requests in a timely and efficient manner. Pull, stage, package, and distribute parts needed for service work orders and customer requests. Create and maintain purchase orders, receiving documentation, inventory records, and related transactions. Assist customers and internal teams in identifying and locating the correct replacement parts. Maintain accurate inventory counts through cycle counts, audits, and annual physical inventories. Process warranty returns, vendor returns, and other inventory adjustments as required. Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management to avoid stock shortages. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts department, warehouse, and storage areas. Assist with shipping, packaging, and delivery of parts and materials as needed. Utilize inventory management and business software systems to accurately track inventory transactions. Collaborate with service, sales, and operations teams to support customer needs and business objectives. Follow all company safety standards, policies, and procedures. Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, integrity, and a customer-focused approach in all interactions. QualificationsWhat You Bring High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience in parts, warehouse, inventory, distribution, retail, customer service, or a related environment preferred. Experience supporting industrial equipment, forklift, automotive, heavy equipment, or material handling operations preferred. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities with a strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment. Basic mechanical aptitude, including the ability to identify parts, components, and replacement items. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and inventory, ERP, warehouse management, or SAP systems preferred. Strong data entry, inventory control, and recordkeeping skills. Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a plus. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
