With four unique dining venues across our campus, our cooks prepare everything from restaurant-quality meals to fresh, made-to-order dishes and nutritious meals served in our healthcare and cafeteria settings. Every meal you prepare helps create a memorable dining experience for the older adults we serve. If you love cooking, enjoy working as part of a team, and take pride in preparing quality food, we'd love to meet you! â° Schedule 8-hour shifts scheduled between 5:00 AM and 7:30 PM Every other weekend Holidays as scheduled What You'll Do As a Cook, you'll prepare high-quality meals while maintaining exceptional food safety, sanitation, and customer service standards. Depending on your assigned kitchen, you may work in: ď¸ Fine Dining Restaurant â Prepare beautifully presented meals in an upscale dining atmosphere. Made-to-Order Kitchen (Line Cook) â Cook fresh menu items to order in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Cafeteria/Healthcare Dining â Prepare nutritious meals in a high-volume setting that supports residents and healthcare services. Responsibilities include: Preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner service Setting up and organizing your workstation before meal service Cooking menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards Preparing ingredients and planning for upcoming meal periods Maintaining proper food labeling, dating, rotation, and storage Following all food safety and sanitation procedures Safely operating commercial kitchen equipment Communicating inventory needs and product concerns with the Chef on Duty Completing cleaning and closing duties Working collaboratively with fellow cooks and dining team members to provide an exceptional dining experience â What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Has a passion for cooking and preparing quality meals Enjoys working in a team-oriented environment Takes pride in food presentation and customer service Can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen Demonstrates strong attention to detail and food safety practices Is dependable and adaptable to a variety of kitchen settings Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior living, hotel, or institutional setting is preferred but not required.
