As a Home Care Assistant, you'll build meaningful relationships while providing personalized, one-on-one care in clients' homes. Every day offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference by promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life. ⏰ Full-Time Scheduling  Our Home Care Assistants provide care when our clients need it most. Full-time shifts are scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, based on client needs. Full-Time Requirements: Minimum of 30 hours per week 60 hours per biweekly pay period 16 weekend hours per month 4 holiday hours every other holiday What You'll Do As a Home Care Assistant, you'll travel to clients' homes to provide personalized, non-medical care based on each individual's Care Plan. Your responsibilities will include: Traveling to clients' homes throughout the Messiah Lifeways service area Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Assisting with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, including the use of mechanical lifts when properly trained Helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment Identifying and reporting safety concerns within the home Completing client documentation and visit notes at the end of each shift Participating in care team meetings as needed Providing compassionate companionship while promoting each client's dignity, independence, and well-being   What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: Compassionate, patient, and dependable Passionate about serving older adults Comfortable using Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems Organized with strong time management skills An effective communicator with excellent customer service skills Able to work independently while collaborating with the care team Career Growth Opportunities At Messiah Lifeways, we believe in developing our team members.
