Position Summary
In this role, you will lead and manage a team through environmental projects, from proposal to completion, with a strong focus on Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, site characterizations, Act 2 clearances, groundwater investigations, brownfields, and property revitalization. The ideal candidate brings both technical depth and client-facing confidence, with the ability to support, and ideally, Â grow an existing book of business in the Central PA region.
What You’ll Do
- Manage Phase I and Phase II ESAs, site characterizations, and environmental due diligence projects
- Lead Act 2 investigations, remediation planning, and regulatory coordination
- Oversee groundwater investigations, data interpretation, and reporting
- Serve as a primary client contact, building long-term relationships and repeat work
- Support business development efforts, including proposals and client strategy
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams
- Manage and mentor junior staff and collaborate with other project managers to contribute to technical quality and consistency
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive environmental consulting experience
- Strong experience with Phase I/II ESAs, Act 2, and site characterization projects
- Working knowledge of PADEP regulations and reporting requirements
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Existing client relationships or book of business in the Harrisburg and/or York areas
- Professional licensure (PG, PE, or similar), or ability to obtain
- Experience mentoring or leading project teams
- Business development or client growth experience in the Central PA market
