Introduction

RETTEW is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer 1 to join our Facilities and Construction Team in Mechanicsburg, PA. This role will lead the design and implementation of electrical and control systems for a variety of complex projects across industrial, commercial, and infrastructure sectors.

Work Environment

- Hybrid (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

- Location: Mechanicsburg, PA

Position Summary / What You’ll Do

As a Senior Electrical Engineer 1, you will serve as a technical leader in the design and delivery of electrical and control systems. You will play a key role in advancing RETTEW’s strategic position in industrial automation, data center construction, and electrical grid modernization while mentoring engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities / Day-to-Day

- Lead electrical design efforts for power distribution, lighting, and control systems.

- Oversee the development of electrical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery.

- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews for electrical deliverables.

- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to junior engineers and designers.

- Support business development through proposal preparation, client engagement, and strategic pursuits.

- Stay current on emerging technologies and industry trends to help shape RETTEW’s market growth.

Qualifications

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in electrical system design

- Professional Engineer (PE) license

- Strong technical background in electrical design for facilities, industrial, or infrastructure projects

- Proven ability to lead design efforts and mentor junior staff

Preferred:

- Experience with industrial automation, data centers, or electrical grid modernization projects

- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software

- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, and IEEE standards
