As a Home Care Assistant, you'll build meaningful relationships while providing personalized, one-on-one care in clients’ homes. Every day offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships that make a lasting difference every day.  What You'll Do As a Home Care Assistant, you'll travel to clients' homes to provide personalized, non-medical care based on each individual's Care Plan. Your responsibilities will include: Traveling to client’s homes throughout the Messiah Lifeways Community Assisting with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Assisting with mobility, transfers, and ambulation, including the use of mechanical lifts when properly trained Helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment Identifying and reporting safety concerns within the home Completing client documentation and visiting notes at the end of each shift Participating in care team meetings as needed Providing compassionate companionship while promoting each client's dignity, independence, and well-being Following all policies, procedures, and safe work practices ⏰ Flexible Scheduling Options Our Home Care Assistants provide care when our clients need it most. Shifts may be scheduled as early as 6:00 AM and extend into the late evening hours, depending on client needs. Part-Time Minimum of 16 hours per pay period 8 weekend hours per month 4 holiday hours every other holiday PRN Flexible scheduling based on availability and client needs Minimum of 8 weekend hours per month 4 holiday hours every other holiday  What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is:  Compassionate, patient, and dependable  Passionate about serving older adults Comfortable using Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems  Organized with strong time management skills  An effective communicator with excellent customer service skills  Able to work independently while collaborating with the care team   Career Growth Opportunities At Messiah Lifeways, we believe in developing our team members.
