Messiah Lifeways is seeking a friendly, dependable Wellness Specialist to bring energy and care to the Center for Vitality and Wellness. In this role, you’ll help create a positive, safe, and welcoming environment while supporting fitness, aquatic, and wellness programming for adults 55 and better. Schedule:  As needed - Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.; Maximum of 15 hours per week What You'll Do Welcome and support members as they participate in wellness programs, fitness activities, and daily routines. Lead or assist with group and individual fitness and aquatic classes as assigned. Cover assigned lifeguarding shifts as assigned. Provide a helpful presence in the fitness center, pool area, and wellness spaces. Keep equipment, towels, and wellness areas clean, organized, and ready for the next class or member visit. Assist with membership procedures, attendance tracking, basic office duties, and friendly member communication. Bring encouragement, patience, and a positive attitude to every shift. What We’re Looking For Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a cheerful disposition. Comfort working with older adults and teaching groups. Strong flexibility, professionalism, and customer service skills. QualificationsRequired Skills/Abilities:  Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm  Must feel comfortable teaching groups  Must have computer and office skills.   Education/Experience:  Lifeguarding Certification accepted by the PA Department of Health preferred If not currently certified, must be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED Certification preferred  Fitness Certifications (i.e. Silver Sneakers, Group Fitness Instruction, etc) preferred   Willingness to become a certified aquatic instructor  Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related degree program or experience equivalent preferred If not currently certified, the Wellness team may be able to accomodate
