The Campus Maintenance Operator is responsible for proper maintenance of the waste stream and recycling of manufacturing products, office moves, cleanliness of the campus, and special event support.   

Qualifications

Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties, assignments, and specific projects may be assigned at the discretion of executive management.  

  • Bale cardboardplastics, and foam for shipment to the recycling vendors.  
  • Remove cardboard and paper products from office buildings for recycling. 
  • Separate different paper products for recycling shipments.  This requires an understanding of paper fibers, textures, and dyes. 
  • Separate and dispose of all the products of the waste stream on campus. 
  • Operate tractor for loading plant debriswood waste and steel. 
  • Change trash compactor containers. 
  • Operate street sweeper on roadways and parking lots. 
  • Move & assemble furniture and misc. through the plant engineering work order system. 
  • Mow all non-ornamental grass areas on campus. 
  • Complete other jobs as requested by your supervisor. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends. 
  • Ability to lift to 30 lbs. occasionally. 
  • Other physical requirements include walking, bending, reaching, and stooping. 
  • Must have adequate vision, hearing, and motor coordination to safely work in dangerous or high areas. 
  • This is a safety sensitive position, subject to initial and follow-up drug testing. 
  • FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt.
