The Facilities Engineer supports the physical environment required for the delivery of health care services, and is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the facility by monitoring, operating, and maintaining building systems and equipment. They must possess a working knowledge of systems, processes, and procedures required to safely and effectively perform the duties of a stationary engineer and maintenance electrician, while also continuously developing knowledge of new processes, equipment, and technologies used to carry out the work. Â Â

Required Qualifications:Â
- Coursework/Training - Stationary engineer apprenticeship or Electrician apprenticeship and equivalent training or work experience.
- National Electrician Supervisor License - State County City Trade License Authority upon hire or,Â
- National Electrician Journeyman License - State County City Trade License Authority upon hire or,Â
- National Electrician Limited Maintenance License - State County City Trade License Authority upon hire or,Â
- National Electrician Limited Building Maintenance License - State County City Trade License Authority upon hire.Â
- Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information upon hire.Â
Preferred Qualifications:Â
- Coursework/Training - Computerized building management systems (DDC) or equivalent work experience.
- EPA 608 Universal Refrigeration Technician certification upon hire.Â
- ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Maintenance certification upon hire.Â
- OHA Backflow Assembly Tester certification upon hire.Â
- Oregon Boiler License – Class 2 or higher upon hire.Â
- 3 years - Experience in central plant operations and maintenance.Â
- Experienced in operation and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
