Key Responsibilities: - Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their needs and inquiries effectively. - Maintain a thorough knowledge of the products and services offered by GOLD BEACH LUMBER YARD INC to provide informed recommendations to customers. - Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system. - Ensure the sales floor is organized, clean, and visually appealing by restocking shelves and arranging displays as needed. - Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive team environment. - Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience and professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary. - Participate in inventory management activities, including stock counts and receiving shipments. - Stay informed about industry trends and new products to better serve customers and enhance sales techniques. - Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. - Assist in training and mentoring new staff members to foster a supportive and knowledgeable team. QualificationsRequired Education: - High school diploma or equivalent. Required Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in a lumber or hardware environment. - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering excellent customer service.
