This role is crucial in supporting the operational efficiency of our equipment and providing exceptional service to our customers. Key Responsibilities: - Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with small engines, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, and other outdoor power equipment. - Perform routine maintenance and repairs on small engines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. - Conduct inspections and tests on equipment to identify any potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions. - Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and labor hours. - Communicate effectively with customers to explain the nature of repairs and provide estimates for time and cost. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in small engine technology and repair techniques. - Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while performing all repair and maintenance tasks. - Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of all service requests. Required Education: - High school diploma or equivalent. Certification in small engine repair is preferred. Required Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in small engine repair and maintenance. - Proven track record of diagnosing and troubleshooting various types of small engines, including lawn mowers, chainsaws, and other outdoor power equipment. Required Skills and Abilities: - Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand engine components and systems. - Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to assess engine performance and identify issues. - Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, spark plug replacements, and air filter cleaning. - Excellent problem-solving skills to effectively address and resolve engine malfunctions. - Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality repair work and customer satisfaction. - Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet repair deadlines. - Good communication skills to interact with customers and provide clear explanations of repair processes and outcomes. - Physical stamina and dexterity to handle tools and perform repairs in various positions.
