R&D Process Engineering Technician (2nd Shift)

As an R&D Process Technician, you operate equipment to develop and test plastic containers & related tooling. Our R&D Center in Medina leads product development of containers for top consumer brands. In this role, you will contribute to Plastipak’s high quality standards ensuring equipment is working efficiently, monitoring production processes and making adjustments or troubleshooting as needed.

  • Consistent Schedule: 2nd Shift works Monday – Thursday from 2:30 – 11pm and Friday from 12 – 8pm

You Will

  • Monitor and operate blow molding or injection molding machinery and related equipment.
  • Assure customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications, such as bottle weights & dimensions.
  • Identify corrective actions to eliminate defects through the product development process.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and auxiliary equipment as assigned.
  • Join with your team to identify continuous improvement opportunities focused on safety, reliability, quality & scrap reduction.

You Have

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent with 2+ years working experience; Associates in Mechanical Technology or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient mechanical, electrical or other technical/machine operation experience
  • Working knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment is preferred
  • Ability to work 2nd shift schedule
