The Department of The Central Business Office has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Scanner to work in Miami, FL. The Scanner prepares, organizes, validates and scans documents into the applicable system; ensuring digital copies are accurate and saved appropriately.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Loads pages for scanning and disposes and/or files original documents ensuring contents remain confidential.

  • Sorts documents and prepares batches for scanning based on prescribed classifications.

  • Troubleshoots and adjusts scanning equipment to ensure scanned files are clear.

  • Examines documents to ensure they are complete and reports any issues to appropriate managing staff.

  • Reviews daily reports for missing documents.

  • Conducts quality checks to ensure proper transferal and indexing of scanned images.

  • Prints and saves imaged documents.

  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

  • CORE QUALIFICATIONS                                                                                                            

  • High School Diploma or equivalent/relevant experience, certification or license

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience required

  • Refer to department description for applicable certification requirements

  • Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.

  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment.

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications. - Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
