What a Day Might Look Like

In this role, you may:

Lead trivia, games, music session, or group discussion.
Spend time engaging with residents in conversation and activities
Help coordinate social events, themed programs, and community gatherings
Encourage participation and create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere
Capture photos and videos of activities and meaningful moments throughout the day

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, social, and engaged throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Activities Director in planning and leading social, recreational, and educational programs
Independently lead group activities such as trivia, games, discussion, music, and crafts
Create a welcoming and engaging environment that encourages participation
Adapt activities and communication styles based on resident needs and abilities
Assist with set-up and clean-up, including arranging rooms and preparing materials
Take photos and short videos of activities and events
Edit and upload videos to internal apps or platforms.
Create flyers, calendars, and activity announcements using simple digital design tools (training provided)
Update digital signage and TV displays with community programming content
Maintain organization of activity supplies and storage areas
Support and accompany residents on outings
Step-in and lead independently when needed
Participate in ongoing training and education

Experience & Skills (Preferred or Will Train)

Experience in hospitality, customer service, recreation, education, or working with seniors is a plus
Comfortable leading groups and speaking in front of others
Basic comfort with digital tools for creating flyers and visual content (training provided)
Interest in photography, video, or storytelling is highly valued
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Creativity, flexibility, and reliability are essential

Availability & Logistics

Full-Time / Tuesday through Saturday (daytime schedule to start)
Occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Must have reliable transportation

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Ability to pass Level II background screening: https://info.flclearinghouse.com
Basic computer literacy required
Prior experience preferred but not required. We will train the right person

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs (50 lbs with assistance)
Work indoors and outdoors as needed
