The SIOP Specialist serves as the segment-level strategic architect and governance authority for Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) across multiple Business Units. Embedded within the Segment Supply Chain organization, this role designs the enterprise framework, policies, and governance structures that guide how the segment balances demand, supply, and inventory investment decisions across defense programs and commercial production facilities.

Essential Functions:
Â
- Design, deploy, and govern the segment SIOP Inventory Management System, defining baseline standards, planning horizons, meeting cadences, decision rights, and escalation protocols across all Business Units.
- Collaborate with Business Unit leaders to tailor the core SIOP framework to their specific business rhythms, contract structures, and operational constraints while maintaining alignment with segment-level governance principles.
- Design segment-level demand consensus processes integrating inputs from Sales, Program Management, Engineering, Finance, and Operations. Establish forecasting methodologies and frameworks for managing demand variability and program transitions.
- Design supply response strategies translating aggregate demand forecasts into capacity requirements, procurement strategies, and inventory positioning recommendations. Define integration between SIOP supply plans and Material Management execution.
- Architect inventory optimization models balancing capital efficiency with material availability. Define segment-level inventory targets, turns goals, and working capital objectives aligned with corporate financial goals.
- Design and facilitate the monthly SIOP meeting cadence. Consolidate multi-sector demand forecasts, supply constraints, and financial impacts into executive-level insights and drive consensus-based decision-making.
- Design risk assessment frameworks to stress-test material pipelines against demand variability, supplier disruptions, and geopolitical risks. Establish scenario planning methodologies for supply chain disruptions and program schedule shifts.
- Establish segment-level OTIF performance targets and service level agreements. Design frameworks for monitoring customer delivery performance and escalation protocols for material shortages.
- Define segment-level SIOP performance metrics, establish dashboards and scorecards, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to advance SIOP maturity across Business Units.

Qualifications:
Â
- Bachelor's Degree with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 8 years prior experience or Graduate Degree with 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

- Deep, practical experience designing or leading SIOP/IBP frameworks within aerospace, defense, or highly-regulated commercial manufacturing environments
- Proven track record launching and governance-testing enterprise or segment-level SIOP systems across multiple business units
- Strong understanding of MRP logic, inventory optimization, safety stock methodologies, and master scheduling
- Experience working across both long-cycle program environments (EVMS, IMS, milestone billing) and rapid commercial production
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Exceptional facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $60,000 - $112,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
