Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems sector is hiring a Staff Engineer to join our Vehicle Engineering team of qualified, diverse individuals in Melbourne, Florida.
Responsibilities may include
Develop, integrate, test and document air vehicle simulation subsystem plant models used in the development of and pilot training on fly-by-wire control systems
Mature and integrate GNC modeling for high fidelity flight simulation environments
Basic Qualifications
BS in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 12 years of relevant engineering experience; OR MS in a STEM discipline and 10 years of relevant engineering experience or PhD with 8 years of relevant engineering experience.
Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.
Knowledge of fixed-wing aircraft subsystems
Experience using MATLAB to create, process, analyze, and visually represent data.
Experience using Simulink to model dynamic systems.
Experience analyzing non-linear simulations data.
Experience using configuration management tools.
Familiarity with programming (C/C++, Python).
Familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Full-Motion Flight Simulators
Familiarity or experience with 14 CFR Part 60

Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
