Plant Maintenance Technician Lead- Melrose 2nd shift

What you will do
  • Schedule Team Members work and job assignments
  • Able to fill in when area supervisor is on PTO
  • Lead non exempt team members in a professional and fair manner
  • Service all plant equipment through preventive, scheduled and emergency repair work orders.
  • Diagnose and perform repairs and calibrations on electromechanical and solid state of the art equipment.
  • Assist other team members in completing work orders/task per maintenance schedule.
  • May be part of the Emergency Response team.
  • Adhere to all NEC code regulations accordingly.
  • Perform other duties assigned by Supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues as well as read schematics in various departments.
  • May be required to lift more than 40 lbs. at times.
  • Has general understanding of maintenance
  • Ability to read/write/communicate in English.
  • Work experience pertaining to mechanical field of 1 year or greater.
  • Ability to use multimeters and electronic test equipment, read schematics and diagrams

Preferred Qualifications
• 2 year Associates degree in a Maintenance related field of military MOS.
• Certifications and/or Registered license in Mechanical field.

Schedule
Core business hours: 12:00pm-8:30pm, M-F & weekends when needed.


Working Conditions
Most positions operate around 40°F with some variation by process. As a harvesting facility, certain natural byproducts (such as blood or internal materials) may be visible. Roles involve repetitive movements, standing on concrete floors for 8–10 hours, and lifting up to 35 pounds.

Pay Range: Starting at
$32.00-$35.00 based on experience

Position available: Immediately at Jennie-O Plant Melrose, MN.
