Overview
Northwell Health is seeking a Manager of Clinical Experience & Digital Platforms within Enterprise Digital Services (EDS) to lead the design, integration, and activation of a unified, technology-enabled care experience across inpatient, ambulatory, and virtual settings.

This role is responsible for ensuring Epic, digital health platforms, telehealth capabilities, and in-room technologies operate as a single, integrated experience layer, supporting Northwell’s strategy to deliver a seamless, consumer-grade, hospitality-driven patient and provider experience across all sites of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Epic-Centered Platform Integration 
    •            Partner with Epic application teams to embed workflows across: 
    •            Digital Patient Experience engagement (e.g., MyChart, bedside platforms) 
    •            Clinical operations and communication 
    •            Ensure alignment of workflows across inpatient, ambulatory, and virtual care environments 
    •            Position Epic as the core platform enabling end-to-end experience delivery
  • “Room of the Future” & Smart Room Leadership 
    •            Lead development and deployment of digital and smart room capabilities across: 
    •             Focus on user-centered design, adoption, and measurable experience outcomes for patients and clinicians
  • Centralized Experience Architecture 
    •            Establish a “single technology hub” model for care environments by integrating: 
    •            In-room/bedside technologies 
    •            Virtual care platforms 
    •            Epic workflows and patient engagement tools 
    •            Reduce fragmentation across systems and standardize experience across sites 
    •            Evaluating new in room technologies against financials and actual usability4. Hospitality-Driven Experience 
    •            Apply consumer-grade and hospitality principles to clinical environments: 
    •            Intuitive, low-friction user experiences 
    •            Self-service patient capabilities that reduce non-clinical workload 
    •            Support improved patient satisfaction, engagement, and workforce efficiency
  • Cross-Functional Leadership 
    •            Lead coordination across: 
    •            Enterprise Digital Services (EDS) 
    •            Epic application teams 
    •            Virtual health / digital care teams 
    •            Clinical and operational leadership 
    •            Facilities, construction, and vendor partners 
    •            Serve as a key integrator across clinical, technical, and operational domains

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in healthcare technology, digital health, or clinical systems
  • Demonstrated experience with Epic workflows and/or integration across care settings
  • Experience supporting large-scale healthcare initiatives (e.g., go-lives, new builds, acquisitions)
  • Strong understanding of clinical and operational workflows across inpatient and ambulatory environments 
  • Experience with virtual care / telehealth platforms and workflows
  • Experience with in-room or bedside patient engagement technologies
  • Experience supporting capital construction projects or facility activations
  • Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, or related field) preferred 
  • Epic certification is required

 

Job Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required.
