Job Description

 

Helps guide team members in performance of duties.
Serves as a functional mentor maximizing wellness, independence and provides peer support to behavioral health consumers.
Collaborates with clinical and non-clinical team members to ensure culture of support is reflected in member's treatment.

Job Responsibility

Acts as functional mentor, helping guide team members in performance of duties; serves as functional mentor for peer counselors.
Provides experiential insight into skills to promote and maintain wellness and recovery.
Encourages members, family members and caregivers to use program resources to maximize wellness and independence; conducts outreach to members missing appointments to reinforce engagement.
Reports on member's progress relative to experience in community settings to clinical team members; refers appropriate questions and issues to clinical and nonclinical team members.
Assists with orientation for behavioral health consumers, including orientation to programs, service providers, and community resources.
Attends and participates in various appointments/meetings to support and advocate for member, as required.
Acts as a resource for team members utilizing specialized knowledge.
Assist members in carrying out tasks as defined in their treatment plans.
Understands and addresses related cultural attitudes and practices.
Works with lead on resolution of day-to-day technical/procedural challenges related to moderately complex assignments, making reccomendations to occasionally deviate from accepted practices with approval.
Exercises independent judgment on moderately complex issues regarding job and related tasks

Job Qualification

High school diploma, required. Associates degree, preferred.
3-5 years of relevant experience, required.
