Senior Underwriting Analyst

We are seeking a Sr. Underwriting Analyst to join our growing team. This role will report to the Underwriting Manager and will be responsible for the overall underwriting of newly submitted merchant applications. The role is based in Melville, NY.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Efficiently manage, sort, and organize merchant applications and supporting documentation
• Accurately enters appropriate statistical & confidential information into multiple systems 
• Run background searches 
• Conduct analysis based upon business documentation
• Communicate professionally with outside sales agents through email and phone
• Resolve or report problems being encountered to ensure timely completion of merchant applications
• Ability to train new employees as necessary
• Ability to think critically and communicate opportunities for efficiency related tothe dailyjob tasks. 

QUALITIES & QUALIFICATION WE LOOK FOR 

• Previous strong underwriting experience preferably related to the payments industry or other applicable industries
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot 
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbally, to effectively collaborate with other team members, and agents
