H2M architects + engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting and design firm has an opening for an entry-level Staff Engineer in our MEP/Electrical Department. This position is an amazing opportunity for a new graduate who is interested in electrical engineering and looking for a strong learning environment to develop design knowledge, project management skills and client relationships.
Job Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of a Senior Engineers and Project Managers, this candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Performing design, computations and evaluations associated with the design and construction administration of power distribution, emergency generators, I&C systems, fire alarms, CCTV systems and lighting design.
- Performing project administration including gathering information, writing reports, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.
- Coordination with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm
- Client interaction and teamwork with other disciplines.
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Power Systems
- 0-2 years of design experience in a consulting environment
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Revit
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- EIT/PE desired
The salary range for this role is $72,500 - $85,000 annually.
