POSITION OVERVIEW

Dragonfly Cares is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide culturally responsive, work in the Melville center to provide support to children with autism and developmental disabilities. This role is ideal for a BCBA who is ready to deliver exceptional care at the Melville Center Monday through Friday 12-2pm. This position does have the potential of more hours as we continue to grow the center.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support children and provide direct services to children with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Implement evidence-based teaching strategies (modeling, role-play, prompting, reinforcement, and natural environment teaching).
  • Train and supervise Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) or BTs.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and performance monitoring to ensure high-quality implementation of interventions.
  • Communicate regularly with caregivers regarding participant progress
  • Provide recommendations and strategies for supporting social skills development at home and in the community.
  • Master's Degree in ABA, or related field
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst(REQUIRED)/LBA required or in process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities in clinic or center based setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and also in a collaborative environment
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (BONUS POINTS)

  • Fluency in additional languages beyond English and Spanish
