In addition to developing  and maintaining relationships with customers and referral sources, the Account Manager coordinates referrals to the admission conversion process and represents the agency in community-related activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Participates in marketing operations and establishes and implements marketing initiatives. Meets sales goals as established by Vice President and agency requirements.  Establishes systems for consistent market assessment and develops a marketing plan designed to meet agency goals. Establishes and maintains mutually beneficial working relationships with current and potential referral sources and payers. Provide in-services and professional presentations for referral sources, including but not limited to area physicians, hospital case managers, skilled nursing facilities, independent living facilities, and assisted living facilities, community groups, and others regarding agency services, programs, and outcomes  Participates in budget development for the department and establishes allocations. Monitors use of resources within budget limitations. Participates with management team in strategic planning activities and identifies opportunities to improve services and better meet customer needs. Monitors and tracks the trends and volume of agency referral activity.  Responds appropriately to trend/volume analysis. Documents all sales-related calls and expenses using the standardized documentation of the agency.   Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Agency’s markets, key referral sources, and position in the market related to competitors. Responds promptly to referral requests.  Adheres to HIPAA privacy rules.  Attends staff meetings to enhance team communication, coordination and quality of services. Completes required documentation by established deadlines to facilitate agency operating schedules. Facilitates private pay admission to services by meeting with client/caregiver, reviewing contracts, obtaining/witnessing contract signatures, developing plans for services in collaboration with caregiver/client and coordination of start of care with program staff. Performs monthly follow up calls/visits per agency guidelines for private pay clients.  Conducts all sales and marketing business within established compliance standards.  Develops and maintains information on available community resources, and assists customers and staff in accessing services or information. Participates in annual agency evaluation in areas of marketing, program development, growth and expectations. Prepares reports of marketing activities and effectiveness. Works collaboratively with program staff to assure consistent message to the customers  Use the state or area market analysis data to identify potential new business opportunities.   Supervisory Responsibilities                                               None. QualificationsHigh School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. Previous experience in healthcare management or marketing, preferably in home health care. Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory requirements and restrictions in home health services. Licensed driver with automobile insured in accordance with state/Agency requirements. Reliable transportation with good driving record.
