Aqua Finance is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Organizational Development (OD) Intern to support key learning and development initiatives that elevate leadership capabilities and enhance organizational effectiveness. This internship offers hands-on experience developing Organizational Development content, building onboarding and learning programs, and supporting strategic OD projects that impact employees across the company. 

 

Essential Functions  

  • Lead the development and implementation of assigned HR, OD, and People Operations initiatives. Examples of initiatives include:  

  • Assist in the design, development, and refresh of Annual People Leader Training content, including research on training best practices, drafting training materials, and helping prepare facilitator resources. 

  • Partner with the HR Intern to co-create the New People Leader Onboarding Plan, contributing to learning content, sequencing, program structure, and supporting materials. 

  • Build content for our employee development program, Next Level Learning, and assemble content (videos, guides, microlearning modules, templates, etc.) that support leadership capability building and ongoing OD initiatives. 

  • Support the deployment of learning and development programs, including scheduling, communication support, content organization, and evaluation activities. 

  • Conduct research on OD and learn best practices to inform new content and program enhancements. 

  • Assist with additional organizational development projects related to change management, competency development, learning pathways, or employee engagement initiatives. 

 

Required Education and Experience 

  • Currently enrolled at a University or College, with a minimum of Junior Undergraduate Status 

  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Business, or a related field 

  • Completion of relevant Human Resources and/or Organizational Development coursework prior to the start of the internship 

  • Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills 

  • Internship will run from mid-May through mid-August 

  • Ability to commit to 40 hours per week during the internship period 

  • Availability to participate in at least 9 weeks of the 12-week program 

  • This is an on-site internship; interns will be required to work at our corporate location in Wausau, WI, for the duration of the internship.

Physical Demands 

 

While performing the duties of this position, the employee regularly uses a computer and may be required to sit, stand, walk, see, communicate, and handle or manipulate objects or controls. The role involves extended periods of working at a computer and may require occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 20 pounds. 

 

This is primarily an office-based position with a significant portion of the work performed at a computer.
