Aqua Finance is seeking an AI & Copilot Development Intern to support the design, testing, and refinement of AI-powered agents using Microsoft Copilot technologies. This internship offers hands-on, project-based experience working with tools such as Copilot Studio, plugins, connectors, and prompt flows while learning how AI solutions are designed to support real business use cases. 

 

Essential Functions  

  • Contribute to AI agent development projects by assisting in the design and build of AI-powered agents using Microsoft Copilot technologies such as Copilot Studio, plugins, connectors, and prompt flows 

  • Learn how to define agent behaviors, goals, and conversation flows aligned to real business use cases 

  • Support prompt engineering projects by creating, testing, and refining prompts, instructions, and grounding data to improve Copilot agent accuracy and usefulness 

  • Collaborate with technical mentors to understand how Copilot agents integrate with applications, workflows, and backend services 

  • Participate in testing and validation projects, including functional testing, data validation, and gathering user experience feedback 

  • Assist with troubleshooting agent behavior by reviewing logs, outputs, and prompt execution paths alongside experienced team members 

  • Document agent designs, use cases, limitations, and best practices to support future reuse and scaling 

  • Research new Microsoft Copilot capabilities, agent patterns, and product updates, and share learnings with the team 

  • Gain hands-on exposure to both low-code and pro-code approaches for extending Copilot functionality 

 

Required Education and Experience 

  • Currently enrolled at a University or College at a minimum of Junior Undergraduate Status 

  • Pursuing a degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, information systems, software engineering, or a related field 

  • Completion of relevant coursework related to your field of study prior to the start of the internship 

  • Strong attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills 

  • Internship will run from mid-May through mid-August 

  • Ability to commit to 40 hours per week during the internship period 

  • Availability to participate for at least 9 weeks of the 12-week program 

  • This is an onsite internship; interns will be required to work at our corporate location in Wausau, WI for the duration of the internship.

This is primarily an office-based position with a significant portion of the work performed at a computer.
