Must have National Certification such as PTCB or NHA AND TN Pharmacy Tech License to qualify A Brief Overview The Certified Pharmacy Technician Clinic Navigator, will collaborate with comprehensive interdisciplinary roles as part of the Clinic care team to eliminate barriers to medication adherence. Provide members with medication access, adherence and affordability services, identifying and communicating discrepancies to build long-term solutions and connect patients and care team to pharmacy resources and support enrollment in qualifying copay assistance programs. This position acts as a medication therapy liaison and navigator for the patient, the clinic care team and providers and also serves as pharmacist extender, performing administrative and clinical support tasks to enhance the delivery of comprehensive medication management services. What you will do Adopt the Challenger sales model; a sales methodology that focuses on teaching customers about the value of a product or service while also challenging their assumptions and beliefs. Ability to sale the solution to a problem. Serve as the pharmacy team’s first line of triage and subject matter expert for medication access and affordability needs including prior authorizations (PA), PA appeals, copay assistance, rx billing issues with the pharmacy, med synchronization, and home delivery. Provide ongoing education on medication access and affordability tools and resources. Connect uninsured or underinsured to an eligibility expert to explore assistance that best fits the patient’s needs. Provide ongoing care team education on medication access and affordability tools and resources. Connect patient’s referred or identified as eligible requiring a pharmacist consult ; perform reminder phone calls and appointment rescheduling as necessary. Provide patients with a direct line of communication with provider and pharmacy staff. Provide emotional and social support to help patient’s access financial and social resources within the organization. Responsible for accepting new prescriptions and making sure all necessary information including insurance verification is available to process orders. Explains all company programs and services to patients and physician’s office staff. Communicates with patients as needed based on prescription refills and refers any medication or illness related questions or concerns to a board licensed healthcare profession including but not limited to: nurses, pharmacists, or supervised pharmacy interns. Responsible for scheduling prescription refills within the pharmacy software. Contacts patients to schedule deliveries, confirm address, inform of any co-payment involved and notify of payment responsibilities. Assists with prior authorizations. Refers under or uninsured patients to appropriate patient assistance programs and helps with applications. Communicates patient status to physician’s offices/clinics. Maintains patient confidentiality. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Utilize operating systems and tools to help manage patient therapy and refill compliance. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Regional One Health policies and regulations.   QualificationsQualifications Successful completion of Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent education. Required Licensed and Certified with the Tennessee State Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire Required Immunization Certification Preferred Minimum 1 year experience as Pharmacy Technician.
