Description

Job Overview:

The Regional Director for Cut Produce Operations spearheads the strategic and operational growth of our divisions, ensuring they function efficiently and cost-effectively while meeting the organization's vision and goals. This role is pivotal in driving the performance of our cut produce operations, enhancing profitability, and ensuring compliance with company standards.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead recruitment, training, and mentoring of the team.
  • Direct and manage the team's workload and schedules.
  • Conduct comprehensive performance reviews.
  • Implement discipline and manage terminations in alignment with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze divisional P&L to drive strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
  • Champion merchandising strategies and brand management.
  • Set, communicate, and realize the strategic direction of the operations division.
  • Partner with executive teams to align on and realize company objectives.
  • Foster collaboration across divisions to fulfill the organization's mission.
  • Champion technological advancements and procedural improvements to optimize organizational efficiency.
  • Ensure departmental strategies resonate with the organization's overarching vision.
  • Oversee departmental budgets, ensuring financial prudence.
  • Deliver performance insights to senior executives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in operations management.
  • Identify and facilitate relevant training opportunities.
  • Ensure adherence to brand and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive sales growth and outperform set targets.
  • Enforce brand consistency and quality by ensuring franchisee adherence to corporate sourcing.
  • Spearhead franchisee recruitment and support.
  • Coordinate schedules for Reporting Managers and other direct reports.
  • Monitor and oversee franchisee operations, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
  • Assess business procedures and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure safe, conducive work environments.
  • Oversee key departments ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Communicate key directives and policy changes, fostering understanding and morale.
  • Regularly inspect and assess store operations.
  • Build strong partnerships with store managers, franchisees, and merchandisers.
  • Lead recruitment for managerial roles and other key positions.
  • Ensure training across all divisions and business lines.

  • Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive understanding of product lines, inventory management, and store operations.
  • Regulatory and Brand Acumen: Knowledge in food safety, brand compliance, and associated audit processes.
  • Problem-Solving: Address franchisee, client, and chef requirements and manage operational challenges effectively.
  • Leadership: Proven managerial skills, adept in mentoring, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Adaptability: Embrace challenging tasks, be resourceful, and think strategically. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of business and finance concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient managerial and diplomacy capabilities.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. MBA is an advantage.
  • At least 8 years of diversified experience in a related role.
  • Candidates should either possess the ServSafe Manager Certification upon joining or acquire it within an agreed timeframe post-hiring.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds, especially when handling produce crates.
  • Frequent travel within the assigned region, and occasional national trips.

Work Environment:

  • Dynamic retail environment with a strong emphasis on fresh produce quality and safety.
  • Regular visits to franchise locations, interacting with staff, observing operations, and possibly handling produce directly.
