Sonic Summary

This position involves managing instructional and behavioral activities for students in in-school suspension, as referred by school administrators.
Candidates must have at least an Associate’s degree or two years of college education, along with a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test.
A minimum of two years of experience working with urban and/or disadvantaged youth is required for this role.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is necessary, or the ability to obtain it.
Proof of education, training, and experience is mandatory for applicants.

Purpose and Scope

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for instructional and behavioral activities for students referred by the school principal or assistant principal for in-school suspension.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree, or two (2) years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours) from an, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test. Also requires two (2) years of experience working with urban and/or disadvantaged youth. Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED)

Degree Equivalency Formula:

Bachelor’s Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience.

Master’s Degree=6 years plus required years of experience.
