Key Responsibilities: - Operate laser cutting machines to process metal materials according to detailed specifications and work orders. - Interpret and understand technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate cutting and shaping of materials. - Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. - Monitor the cutting process to ensure the quality and precision of the finished product, making adjustments as necessary. - Collaborate with team members to optimize production schedules and meet project deadlines. - Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and company policies. - Record and report production data, including material usage and machine performance, to support continuous improvement efforts. - Assist in the training and development of junior operators to enhance team capabilities and productivity. QualificationsRequired Education: - High school diploma or equivalent. Additional vocational training or certification in laser technology or a related field is preferred. Required Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment in a manufacturing or industrial setting. - Proven track record of working in a steel fabrication environment, demonstrating familiarity with materials and processes. - Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Required Skills and Abilities: - Proficiency in operating and maintaining laser cutting machinery, including setup, calibration, and troubleshooting. - Strong understanding of laser technology and its applications in metal cutting and fabrication. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team to meet production deadlines and quality standards. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in cutting operations. - Effective communication skills to liaise with team members and supervisors regarding production needs and equipment status. - Basic computer skills for data entry and machine operation interface. - Commitment to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
