LOCAL TRUCK DRIVER - MEMPHIS

Essential Job Functions:

• Work with and/ or coordinate with internal departments to provide transportation of Medium Duty and Heavy Duty vehicles as needed by business demands and/ or customer requests.
• Ensure all vehicles to be driven are DOT compliant.  Coordinate with company Tow Truck Driver if vehicle does not meet DOT regulations.
• Inform internal department of completion of duties.  Communicate to department any mechanical or other issues noticed while in possession.
• Abide by traffic laws and internal policy regarding safety duties and equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned as listed job duties are not comprehensive and should not be construed as such.  This job description is subject to change.

Required Skills/ Abilities:

• Commercial Driver’s License
• Customer Service focus. 
• Basic computer usage and navigation knowledge.
• Verbal and written communication to include simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to work with employees to help instruct in proper completion of tasks.
• Complete daily tasks without constant supervision.
• Able to sit for extended length of times while driving a Heavy Duty vehicle.
• Able to climb in and out of Heavy Duty vehicles consistently throughout daily activities.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
