Position Summary

Works under general supervision of Manager A while coordinating assignments as they relate to the operation of the CHOICES program.  

 

Pay Grade: 41H

Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Four (4) years of experience in an administrative or clerical health care capacity; two of the four years may be substituted with two (2) years of college study (60 semester hours or 72 quarter hours); AND
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as program point of contact with program partner Managed Care Organizations. 
  • Prepares related reports as they relate to the CHOICES program. 
  • Contacts persons referred to the program to- obtain the information needed to complete referral for services. 
  • Verifies potential enrollees through the Tennessee Anytime website. 
  • Enters enrollee information related to departmental programs on Excel spreadsheet for documentation of client record activity. 
  • Maintains files of applicants who decline services. 
  • Assists with the documentation of CHOICES regional quarterly meetings. 
  • Coordinates and distributes referrals to appropriate assessment/service coordination program.
  • Files and maintains program materials. 
  • Retrieves documents and distributes telephone voicemail messages to appropriate staff. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.

  • Knowledge of modem office practices and procedures 
  • Strong computer skills. 
  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • Knowledge of business English and math. 
  • Ability to compose general correspondence and write and type documents for a variety of needs. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other software. 
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems and exercise good judgement. 
  • Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely and effectively both verbally and in writing. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public, co-workers, and other departments.

 

Special Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Tennessee Driver's license or secure one upon date of employment.
  • Must have daily access to an operable automobile.
  • Must meet County requirements for automobile insurance upon date of employment.
  • Must pass criminal background check to include: TBI/FBI Criminal, Interstate Compact Offender Tracking System, Tennessee Drug Offender Registry, Tennessee Sex Offender Registry, Tennessee Dept. of Health & Abuse Registry, Tennessee Felony Offender Registry, National Tennessee Sexual Offender Public Registry, and Substantiated Investigations Report Inquiry
