Baptist Heart Institute at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis is the Mid-South’s only adult heart transplant program. This is a unique opportunity to practice the full spectrum of advanced heart failure medicine alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team. Since launching the program in 1985, Baptist Memphis has performed over 500 heart transplants and implanted over 600 LVADs, making it one of the nation's highest-volume mechanical circulatory support programs.

- Mid-South's only adult heart transplant program
- A long-standing transplant program that has performed 500+ heart transplants since inception
- 600+ LVAD implantations completed, demonstrating decades of excellence in advanced heart failure care
- 70+ LVAD implants completed in FY2025 and 60 LVAD implants year-to-date in FY2026
- More than 200 HeartMate 3 implants
- Baptist Memphis is reported as the 4th highest-volume LVAD/HeartMate 3 implanting center in the United States

Practice Details:
- 100% Advanced Heart Failure position with a dedicated focus on heart failure care
- Dedicated team support, including:
- Heart Failure Coordinators
- Transplant/VAD Coordinators
- Outreach Coordinator
- Social Workers
- Inpatient and outpatient Advanced Practice Providers
- Dedicated Transplant and VAD program with established clinical support teams
- 24/7 Critical Care coverage
- Established Cardiogenic Shock program with opportunities for continued growth and program development
- Formal multidisciplinary Pulmonary Hypertension program
