Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Trezevant Episcopal Home - Memphis, TN 38111Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: BSNSalary Range: $37.00 - $39.50 HourlyJob Shift: 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.Job Category: Health CareSUMMARY OF POSITION The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the assessment, establishment and promotions of the care environment for the purpose of improving and maintaining healthy resident outcomes.  Also responsible for providing professional nursing care according to ANA Standards of Nursing Practice in conformance with recognized nursing techniques and procedures, established standards and administrative policies.   PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise nurses and ancillary nursing staff effectively. Perform daily rounds to assess staff performance. Check the crash cart and emergency kit weekly on all floors for accuracy. Possess awareness of the Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Action Guidelines in order to govern employee conduct. Collaborate with other members of the health care team to promote quality resident care and assume responsibility for the care given under their direct supervision. Demonstrate knowledge, communication skills and values needed for effective teamwork. Maintain ethical/legal standards. Maintain adequate staff with in-house employees, using supplemental staff only in emergencies. Plan appropriate nursing interventions. Chart significant and meaningful observations of the residents reflecting the nursing process in the delivery of resident care. Organize nursing care and daily routine efficiently for assigned unit. Confer with physicians and other health care professionals as needed to promote quality resident care. Understanding, patience and tact in dealing with residents and their families. Apply effective communication skills. Maintain attendance in accordance with the Employee Handbook. Should demonstrate diplomacy and caring skills in communicating. 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. additional duties: Audit new admits ensuring medications are ordered and transcribed correctly. QualificationsLicense/Registration, Certification State of TN or multi-state license as a Registered Nurse Must possess a current CPR certification.
