About the Role:

The Loss Prevention Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring/maintaining the loss prevention program for an assigned facility to ensure adequate protection of company employees, company/customer property and assets. Conduct accident, security, and lost property investigations as required. This position is a direct report to the Loss Prevention Manager/ Director.


Essential Functions

  • Receive assignments from Loss Prevention Director / Manager
  • Oversees all aspects of security/loss prevention at assigned facility.
  • Manages budget at assigned facility.
  • Works with lead of assigned security staff at assigned facility to ensure proper scheduling/training of contract security officers.
  • Keep areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
  • Maintain membership of facility’s emergency organization.
  • Control access to facilities.
  • Responds to and assumes control of accident/incident scenes/events. 
  • Conduct fire/life safety and security inspections.
  • Monitor electronic equipment to include access control. Electron tour patrols and cctv.
  • Greet employees, visitors, customers, etc.; ensure all access control procedures are followed.
  • Perform administrative responsibilities for a specific shift.
  • Provides and or assure training is provided to assigned officers. 
  • Determine schedule requirements for a specific site.
  • Responsible for Loss Prevention program as required/directed by Loss Prevention Director / Manager
  • Monitor attendance policy and report violations to Loss Prevention Management.
  • Ensures site/security posts have supplies.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Continuously monitor employee activity that could lead to lost or damaged products.
  • Functional and continuous monitoring and reporting of safety conditions
  • Continuously establish and monitor work activity of 4 to 12 employees at assigned facility.
  • Will initiate audits relating to safety and asset protection.
  • Will conduct investigations into employee injuries, missing product, and other related matters.


Required Experience

 Must have 2 years prior experience in the security/loss prevention/law enforcement field with at least 6 months in a supervisory role or lead.


Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Requires above average ability to read, write, and speak English, prepare reports, and follow instructions.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excell, Power Point 
  • Should be certified in CPR/first aid. Will have the ability to use electronic monitoring equipment relating to fire/life safety.
  • Position requires ability to act independently and work with minimum supervision.
  • Must have familiarization with logistical tracking systems (Preferred)


Preferred Education and Experience

  •  Minimum education of high school diploma or equivalent. Some college or technical training and state certification preferred.

  • None

 

Work Environment

  •  While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Occasionally involves some exposure to hazardous conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 


Physical Demands

  • Requires continuous walking, standing, bending, and sitting.
  • Will lift minimum to maximum weight on rare occasions.
  • Must respond in a quick manner to emergency situations.
  • Will frequently monitor a closed-circuit television.
  • Will continuously monitor a radio frequency.
  • Will occasionally prepare reports relating to activities.
  • Position is continuously exposed to disagreeable physical elements present in the entire operation.
  • Minimal occupational hazards. Position subject to minor injuries.
  • The ability to interface effectively with people in a manner that makes them feel comfortable and at ease is essential in this position.
  •  Must maintain absolute confidentiality of Loss Prevention management.
