Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, helping manage entry activity, verify credentials, and support smooth site operations. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and deliver strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $17.39 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipment-related authorizations, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing gate activity, challenging unapproved entry attempts, and reporting unusual behavior, damaged barriers, and/or security-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, parking areas, trailer yards, and loading dock locations, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
