Superintendent - Commercial Construction

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee field operations for large-scale commercial and multifamily construction projects throughout the Memphis area. This leadership role is responsible for managing daily jobsite activities, coordinating subcontractors and trade partners, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a proactive field leader with extensive commercial construction experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to successfully manage multiple trades throughout every phase of construction. General contractor experience is highly preferred, particularly for candidates who have managed complex commercial projects from groundbreaking through final turnover.

• Direct all on-site construction activities from project startup through final completion
• Supervise subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and trade partners to ensure work progresses according to schedule
• Develop, update, and maintain short-term and long-term construction schedules
• Coordinate project sequencing, logistics, manpower, equipment, and material deliveries
• Monitor subcontractor productivity, quality, and schedule performance while resolving field conflicts proactively
• Enforce OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and jobsite safety programs
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project specifications
• Review construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, and specifications to identify and resolve field issues
• Partner closely with Project Managers to manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and project milestones
• Lead subcontractor meetings, safety meetings, and daily coordination discussions
• Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, progress photos, and project records
• Coordinate inspections, punch-list completion, owner walkthroughs, and project closeout activities
• Foster strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, and project stakeholders
• Identify project risks early and implement solutions to minimize delays and maintain productivity

• 7+ years of Superintendent experience managing commercial construction projects
• Proven experience leading large-scale commercial, mixed-use, healthcare, education, industrial, or multifamily construction projects
• General contractor experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, sequencing, quality control, and subcontractor management
• Thorough understanding of OSHA safety regulations and jobsite safety best practices
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documentation
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience managing multiple trades simultaneously on active construction sites
• Ability to maintain project schedules while delivering high-quality workmanship
• Candidates located in or willing to relocate to the Memphis area are preferred
• Must successfully pass professional reference checks and a pre-employment drug screening
