Overview
This role provides Centralized Cardiac Monitoring support for patients across the hospital system from a
corporate office setting, without direct patient interaction. The technician is responsible for interpreting
cardiac rhythms, identifying abnormalities, and communicating findings to appropriate clinical personnel.
Job Responsibilities
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms for multiple patients across the health system using remote
telemetry systems.
• Accurately interpret and document rhythm changes and arrhythmias.
• Promptly report abnormal findings to licensed clinical staff according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of monitoring data.
• Utilize advanced monitoring software and systems with a high degree of technical proficiency.
• Communicate effectively with clinical teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Complete assigned goals and tasks as directed.
Education:
Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a cardiac monitoring or EKG technician program.
Training Description:
Minimum Required Preferred/Desired:
On-the-job training in rhythm interpretation and monitoring systems.
Formal training in cardiac monitoring.
Special Skills Description:

• Strong rhythm interpretation skills.
 • High level of computer literacy.
 • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
Familiarity with hospital telemetry systems and electronic health records.
Licensure;

BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
