JOB SUMMARY

The Test Engineer II supports manufacturing test operations within assigned workcells, focusing on execution, sustainment, and incremental improvement of electrical and functional test processes for large-form assemblies (LFA) and system-level products. This role performs hands-on test engineering activities involving high-voltage electrical systems (480VAC / 120VAC), low-voltage controls (24VDC), Hipot testing, pressure and leak testing, and basic test automation. The Test Engineer II works under guidance from senior engineers and Test Engineering leadership to ensure test processes meet Jabil quality, safety, and customer requirements.

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Support & Development:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support senior Test Engineers in executing test engineering deliverables.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist in training Manufacturing Test Operators (L1鈥揕3) on test procedures and equipment use.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in development and maintenance of test documentation and standard work.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Seek feedback and coaching to build technical and professional capability.

Performance & Communication:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support achievement of test-related KPIs such as safety, FPY, yield, and test uptime.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Communicate test issues, risks, and status to Test Engineering III/IV and Test Leads.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in cross-functional meetings related to test readiness, quality, and NPI.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Document test results and engineering changes clearly and accurately.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Lead the workcell team (assigned to customer) as a Lead Project Engineer.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Serve as Lead Test Engineer / Project Engineer for assigned customer workcells and programs.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Own and communicate system-level test strategies to customer engineering teams.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Design, develop, and sustain test processes covering:

  • 480VAC and 120VAC electrical power and functional testing
  • 24VDC control systems and interlock validation
  • Hipot / dielectric withstand testing
  • Pressure testing, leak detection, pre-air, and vacuum testing
  • Safety interlocks, emergency stop validation, and compliance checks

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Execute test process changes under direction of senior Test Engineers.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Help define and validate test methods for large-form assemblies and safety-critical systems.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist with troubleshooting test failures and isolating issues related to product, processes, or equipment

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support development and maintenance of basic test scripts or automation tools.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Verify test equipment calibration status and escalate issues as required.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support test station setup, validation, and release for production.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist with NPI activities, including test readiness, dry runs, and initial production support.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure compliance with electrical safety, pressure safety, EHS, and Jabil standards.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support failure analysis, data collection, and corrective action implementation.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Follow and enforce standard work and safety requirements during test execution.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline required. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in manufacturing test engineering or a related technical role. Working knowledge of high-voltage systems, Hipot testing, pressure/leak testing, and basic test automation. Must be able to obtain and maintain all required job-related certifications.
