This role requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail to ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities: - Set up and operate vertical milling machines to perform tasks such as drilling, cutting, and shaping metal workpieces. - Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate machine settings and operations. - Adjust machine settings to ensure optimal performance and accuracy, including selecting and installing cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments. - Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on milling machines to prevent downtime and ensure efficient operation. - Monitor the machining process to ensure quality control and make necessary adjustments to maintain product specifications. - Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and company policies. - Document and report any discrepancies or issues with machinery or production to supervisors for resolution. - Continuously seek opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to vertical milling operations and related technologies. QualificationsRequired Education: - High school diploma or equivalent is required. - Certification in machining or a related field is preferred. Required Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience operating vertical milling machines in a manufacturing or industrial setting. - Experience in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. - Proven track record of maintaining equipment and performing routine maintenance checks.
