Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre Voice, Tenure Track, Full Time, Academic Year.
The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of successful college or professional teaching. Ability to teach both “legit” and “contemporary” musical theatre vocal styles, and working knowledge of the American musical theatre canon. Special consideration will be given to candidates with any or all of (a) professional experience as a musical theatre performer, (b) piano skills, and/or © current industry connections. Also required is a demonstrated commitment to student mentoring and development suitable for a professional training program offering the B.F.A. degree in Musical Theatre. The successful candidate should have research interests appropriate to a tenure-track appointment, and will also demonstrate willingness to bring to this environment professional, innovative, and collegial contributions in all areas: teaching, creative research, and service.
