- To provide labor for sorting, bagging, labelling and palletizing of manufactured or factored goods to an acceptable standard. Other packaging requirements may be utilized as needed.
- KEY AREAS OF ACTIVITY AND RESPONSIBILITY
- Supports the inspection process by performing visual inspections, by using basic measuring equipment and gauges to inspect performed work.
- Prepares product packaging by weighing, counting, bagging, sealing packages, and loading packaged products onto pallets. Â
- May pack, pull or check customer orders; replenish supply rooms or shelves.
- May check prepared orders against shipping or customer order, and report shortages and incomplete orders.
- Maintain equipment and quality (bag and contents).
- Conduct quality inspections, visual checks of defects and validate quality of the bag.
- Certify the bag meets product and other specification numbers by visual checks of lot numbers and code dates.
- Utilizes insulating equipment to assemble plastic insulators onto metal parts.
- Handles housekeeping tasks including wiping down machines, sweeping floors, and cleaning up non-hazardous liquid spills.Â
- Reports all equipment faults, safety hazards, or accidents to the supervisor for immediate attention.Â

- SKILLS NEEDED
- Previous general labor experience.
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Self-starter that is able to work in an independent manner with the ability to be cross trained and multi-task in multiple positions.
- Ability to communicate and comprehend the English language, both verbally and written.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and stand, walk, and bend for prolonged periods of time.
- Willingness and flexibility to work in a hot, fast-paced, 24 hour plant environment.
- Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Â
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and measuring equipment.
- Able to deliver consistent quality results through sense of urgency and taking initiative, while also demonstrating flexibility to meet business needs.
- People minded and able to foster mutual respect and positive relationships with co-workers.Â
- Demonstrates listening skills and ensures physical safety of self and others.Â
