Job Description:

Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring the efficient and timely manufacturing of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production & Planning: Assign daily tasks, manage workflow, and ensure project deadlines are met.

  • Quality Control: Inspect finished welds for compliance with blueprints, codes (AWS, ASME, ISO), and standards.

  • Safety Enforcement: Enforce PPE usage, conduct safety audits, and maintain a safe, clean (6S) work environment.

  • Personnel Management: Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate welder performance, while addressing disciplinary issues.

  • Technical Oversight: Oversee welding, cutting, and assembly operations (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW).

  • Documentation: Maintain records of welding procedure specifications (WPS) and employee certifications. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on welding experience, with previous supervisory experience preferred.

  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of welding codes (AWS), metallurgy, blueprints, and NDT methods.

  • Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and train a diverse team to foster a culture of accountability.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding processes.

  • Certifications: Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS) from AWS is highly desirable.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to work in manufacturing facilities and regularly be exposed to varying and extreme temperatures, loud noises, dust, chemical fumes, sharp metal objects and heavy forklift traffic.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb, stoop, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time during working hours.
