The College of Health Sciences  (https://www.memphis.edu/healthsciences/) offers the B.S. degree in Health Studies with concentrations in Health Sciences; Dietetics; Exercise, Sport & Movement Sciences; and Healthcare Leadership; as well as the B.S.Ed. degree in Physical Education Teacher Education. The college also offers the M.S. degree in Health Studies with concentrations in Exercise Nutrition; Exercise, Sport & Movement Sciences; Lifestyle Medicine; and Physical Education Teacher Education. A second M.S. degree is offered in Nutrition with concentrations in Clinical Nutrition; Environmental Nutrition; and Nutrition Science. The college also offers two PhD programs and the Doctor of Physical Therapy. There are approximately 1600 undergraduate and graduate majors within CHS. The University of Memphis is recognized by the Carnegie Foundation as a Research 1 Institution, one of only three in the state of TN. It has a diverse population of approximately 20,000 students, including approximately 4,000 graduate students.
