The Facilities (Maintenance) Team Lead is responsible for supporting daily maintenance operations and leading maintenance technicians to ensure equipment, systems, and facility operations run safely and efficiently. This role assists with assigning work orders, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating repairs, and ensuring preventive maintenance tasks are completed on schedule. The Maintenance Team Lead promotes safety, productivity, and continuous improvement while supporting operational goals and minimizing downtime.


Essential Functions

  • Performs adjustments and maintenance on equipment and while standing throughout shift.  
  • Responsible for machine cleanliness, changing shrink film, label rolls and plows (shrink wrap guides).  
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment.  
  • May be required to work in other departments and locations as workloads permits.  
  • Must be able to work extensive overtime and any shift.  
  • Must be able to operation a pallet jack (motorized or non-motorized).  
  • Operate multiple machinery equipment.  
  • Must be able to operate Reach and OP.  
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.  
  • Must be willing to learn to operate all packaging equipment.  
  • Must be EO Certified. 


Required Education and Experience


 HS Diploma/GED  AA/AS  BA/BS  MBA/MS  PHD 

or equivalent combination of education and experience


· High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or minimum six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  


Additional Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, and systems.
  • Flexible schedule required, including weekends, holidays, and off shifts to support operational needs 
  • Ability to work in warehouse conditions including noise, temperature variations, and material handling environments requiring PPE
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  
  •  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.  
  •  Demonstrated customer focus, deadline sensitivity, organization skills, flexibility, relationship building skills, problem solving and demonstrated support for new ideas, suggestions, and changes.  
  •  Must have leadership skills, computer skills & Navigation skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution center with shifting priorities and time-sensitive demands


Team Lead Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop assigned staff in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Lead team to meet or exceed service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Assign and direct daily work.


Work Environment

  • Primarily operates in a warehouse environment.
  • Requires flexibility to adapt between warehouse floor activities and administrative tasks.
  • Regular use of office equipment, tablets, scanners, and related tools.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
  • Frequent use of hands to handle products and equipment.
  • Must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Requires ability to see close, distant, and peripheral, as well as adjust focus.

Travel

  • No travel is expected for this position.
