Job DetailsJob Location: Mena, AR 71953Job Summary:    At the direction and control of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Speech Therapist is responsible for planning and implementing specific treatment programs to meet goals, plans for discharge and communicate findings and progress according to professional licensure/certification, scope of practice and departmental/discipline policies and procedures.   Principal Duties and Responsibilities   Evaluates and assess the patient based on subjective and objective information obtained through medical chart review, formal and informal test administration with appropriate analysis and interpretation of results to develop a care plan. Establishes a written treatment plan based on the results of the evaluation/assessment with appropriate patient oriented, functional, measurable goals with predicted time frames appropriate to the current level of care. Provides treatment according to established goals on treatment plan and reassess patient’s functional status when goals are met or there is a change in the patient’s condition. Provide discharge planning information which includes patient/family education, follow-up, and referral to community resources, verbal and/or written. Contributes to the development of staff by identifying work load and assigning staff utilizing available resources to accomplish stated goals, support change and facilitate communication. Assists in performance improvement activities to ensure quality is consistent with established standards and improve patient care. Coordinates with Director regarding program development and to increase quality of patient outcomes. Maintains standards required by regulatory entities. Actively participate in all special events. Performs other duties as assigned.  May be required to work evenings, nights, and/or weekends on a regular or as needed basis. QualificationsEducation:     Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology with completion of any related clinical requirements. Certificate of Clinical Competency by American Speech-Language Hearing Association and licensed in the State of Arkansas.   Experience:     Two to Four years clinical experience desired.
