The Data Governance Analyst plays a key role in advancing enterprise data governance initiatives by partnering with data owners, data stewards, and technical teams to deliver high-quality, business-driven solutions. This position supports the implementation and ongoing management of data governance capabilities, including data cataloging, master data management, data quality, and data profiling. The analyst ensures governance initiatives are aligned with business requirements, deliver measurable value, and promote the integrity, consistency, and usability of organizational data

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Ā Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field; or relevant experience.Ā 

Experience: 5+ years of experience inĀ data governance,Ā data management, dataĀ analysisĀ orĀ related disciplines

Travel: 10%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data GovernanceĀ 

  • Execute enterprise Data Governance policies, standards, and proceduresĀ 
  • Promote data literacy and foster a data centric culture across the organizationĀ 
  • Ensure assigned data domainsĀ comply withĀ governance standardsĀ 
  • Advocate change management efforts related to data governance adoption and tool implementationĀ 

Data QualityĀ 

  • DevelopĀ andĀ monitorĀ data quality metrics and KPIsĀ 
  • IdentifyĀ data quality issues and coordinate remediation activitiesĀ 
  • Analyze root causes of data defectsĀ 
  • Partner will data owners and data stewards to define business validation rulesĀ Ā 
  • Support continuous improvement initiativesĀ Ā

Metadata ManagementĀ 

  • Maintain business glossary termsĀ 
  • Create andĀ maintainĀ business definitionsĀ Ā 
  • Document data lineage with technical teamsĀ 
  • Maintain metadata within the enterprise data catalogĀ 
  • Ensure metadataĀ remainsĀ current andĀ accurate.Ā Ā 

Ā 

Master Data Management (MDM)Ā 

  • Define andĀ maintainĀ master data standardsĀ 
  • Review master data creation and change requestsĀ 
  • AssistĀ with duplicate record identification and resolutionĀ 
  • Ensure consistency across systemsĀ 
  • ParticipateĀ in MDM implementation initiativesĀ 
  • Support survivorship and matching rule definitionsĀ 

Ā 

Data Catalog ManagementĀ 

  • Support Data Owners and Data Stewards inĀ businessĀ metadataĀ within the data catalogĀ 
  • Classify data assetsĀ 
  • Support catalog adoption throughout the organizationĀ 
  • Collaborate with technicalĀ stewardsĀ to improve metadata qualityĀ 

Ā 

Business Data Ownership SupportĀ 

  • Partner with Data OwnersĀ and Data StewardsĀ toĀ establishĀ accountabilityĀ 
  • AssistĀ business areas inĀ identifyingĀ critical data elementsĀ Ā 
  • Recommend improvements to business processes affecting dataĀ 
  • Coordinate business decisionsĀ regardingĀ data standardsĀ 

Ā 

Business Process ImprovementĀ 

  • IdentifyĀ opportunities to improve data collection processesĀ 
  • Recommend process enhancementsĀ 
  • EliminateĀ redundant data collectionĀ 
  • Improve data capture at the sourceĀ 
  • Reduce manual work through standardizationĀ 
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
