To best support our healthcare customers and maintain a strong local presence, we are seeking candidates located in Texas, Oklahoma, or other Central Time Zone states. This position requires alignment with Central Time business hours and the ability to travel within the assigned territory to support customer relationships, operational activities, and service delivery.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

The Healthcare Operations Manager manages inspection, service, repair, and customer support relationships for an assigned local healthcare customer base. This position reports to the Regional Healthcare Operations Manager, has no direct reports, and provides consistent local customer presence while supporting compliance, satisfaction, operational efficiency, and expected profitability. 

  • Serve as the primary operational contact for assigned healthcare customers, maintaining regular in‑person presence to strengthen relationships and support day‑to‑day service needs.
  • Conduct account reviews, facility visits, site walks, and operational meetings to assess inspection results, service history, system condition, customer feedback, and budget priorities.
  • Identify repair, replacement, modernization, and expansion opportunities; communicate qualified needs to the Regional Healthcare Operations Manager, sales, and district leadership.
  • Manage inspection, service, repair, reporting, and customer support activities for assigned accounts, ensuring timely completion, report delivery, billing readiness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate onboarding, kick‑off meetings, progress reviews, and operational updates using Summit healthcare SOPs.
  • Coordinate scheduling, field resources, and deficiency work with district offices; request regional support when local capacity is insufficient.
  • Communicate customer requirements, contractual obligations, site‑access needs, and compliance timelines to internal teams.
  • Review reports and deficiencies with customers and internal teams and support timely repair and quote follow‑up.
  • Resolve local execution issues and escalate significant customer, compliance, resource, or service concerns to the Regional Healthcare Operations Manager.
  • Partner with Healthcare Support Operations, CSRs, and Coordinators on workflows, reporting, platforms, and account support.
  • Ensure proper use of Salesforce Lightning and applicable customer platforms; document opportunities and support sales through introductions, site coordination, scope validation, and operational planning.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications listed below are representative of the elements required to perform the job successfully; however, in some cases, an equivalent combination of Education, Training, Certifications and Experience may meet the job qualifications.

Education, Training, Certifications:

  • High School diploma/GED, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Healthcare Administration, Fire Protection, or a related field, preferred.

    Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of fire protection, inspections, service, healthcare operations, customer account management, or related industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of fire protection systems, applicable NFPA standards, and healthcare accreditation or compliance‑driven environments preferred.
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, customer service, and time‑management skills required to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities within an assigned local territory.
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships, coordinate work across multiple internal teams, resolve local issues, and maintain accountability without direct supervisory authority.

    Communication Skills:

  • Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in English with customers, employees, leadership, and other stakeholders.
  • Must possess strong customer service, presentation, collaboration, and conflict-resolution skills across multiple operational groups.

 

Systems and Software Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning and third-party customer platforms preferred.

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record, required.
  • Must be able to comply with Summit's Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer-specific requirements based on contractual agreement.
  • Travel up to 15%, primarily within the assigned local territory.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for long periods.  Employee will occasionally be required to drive, bend, kneel, balance, lift <20lb, walk, stand, ascend/descend stairs, reach above and below shoulders, stoop, and twist.

Work Environment:

Employee will consistently be required to work indoors in an office or remote setting, work alone and with others. Employee will occasionally be required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, as required by company safety policies.
