Job Title: Senior PL/SQL Developer

Location: Menlo Park, CA (3-4 days onsite minimum)

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior PL/SQL Developer with strong expertise in Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL performance tuning. The ideal candidate will work closely with DBAs and application developers to optimize queries, resolve production issues, and ensure efficient database performance in a high availability environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL and PL/SQL programs within Oracle environments
Perform advanced query optimization and performance tuning for large scale database systems
Collaborate with production DBAs to troubleshoot and resolve application related database issues
Work closely with application development teams to review, write, and suggest optimized SQL queries and stored procedures
Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements
Ensure high standards of data integrity, performance, and scalability
Support production systems with timely issue resolution and root cause analysis

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

Strong expertise in Oracle database concepts, architecture, and tools
Advanced proficiency in:
SQL
PL/SQL development
Query optimization and performance tuning
Experience working in production support environments in collaboration with DBAs
Ability to analyze and optimize complex queries and data structures
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

Experience in high volume or enterprise scale database systems
Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tools
Understanding of application database interaction patterns
